External Influences: September 30 – October 31, 2008
External Influences is an exhibition that explores the collaborative process between human and machine through the medium of drawing.
Foucault has developed circumstances in which small robots will interact with Bay Area visual, performance and
sound artists, and the public to create a series of large-scale, abstract drawing compositions. What is unique about External Influences is that the majority of the works being shown will be created on-site at the Richmond Art Center over the course of the exhibition, transforming the gallery into an active project space that will constantly be generating new images, ideas and synchronicities.
